I guess these are made out of some sort of plastic which makes it difficult for shuffling and playing. I wouldn’t recommend unless your using them for solitaireFirst of all, these cards are BEAUTIFUL. Second of all, other reviewers are correct. They are so slippery that shuffling them makes them fly EVERYWHERE. So handle these carefully.That said, I LOVE how they look, and plan to use them for gaming. Just be aware when you buy these you are buying for looks not usability.These cards look great, but they are very slippery. So much so that when placing a partial stack on the table and someone takes a card, the entire remaining deck invariably slides all over the place. There is also an issue when holding the deck in your hand and trying to organize your hand. It is as if these cards are made of Teflon. Also, if you are used to the old "bicycle" design, it will take time to get used to these cards. Not an issue with my rating, but could prevent enthusiasm for using them.Well, on the one hand, these cards look great. They're glossy black and gold, imagery is good, and there's subtle texture to the cards that all adds up to make these cards really attractive.On the other hand, they feel like you're holding plastic. They're stiff and slippery and they don't shuffle well. You know how a new deck of (paper) cards can sometimes be too stiff and slippery? Yeah, it's worse than that. And unlike a new deck of cards, these don't show any sign of breaking in.Are they waterproof? Sure. Because they're made of plastic.
